My earliest experience with Twitter was when it seemed to be nothing but memes. Just good times. Now it's much more political and news oriented. It helps me today to keep updated on current events and keep up with friends as well. In the future I could use Twitter to network for my career.
I think the digital divide is one of the biggest disparities in schooling today. Students with less wealth are automatically at a disadvantage when technology comes into the curriculum. I'm definitely worried about how it will effect my classroom. But people were taught for thousands of years without technology, so how hard can it be to try and keep the lessons hands-on, without technology. And for the times when technology is necessary I can try and make sure everyone is included somehow.
One tool I'd like to add to my classroom would be twitter. It would be a more casual place to discuss the class and connect with classmates. Another good tool I would like to add is google classroom. That would help all around, helping students and teacher to be more organized, have clearer expectations and clearer work.
